MARCH IS MAILBOX MONTH...

 

We have survived the (short) winter season and now we move into spring clean-up. March has been designated as Mailbox Month for Walling Grove and it is a time to hit some of those boxes with needed maintenance.

 

Some of the easy improvements are:

 

Clean off the green slime/crud/pollen, etc.

Repaint box and flag, as needed.

Ensure your house numbers are readable...contrasting colors or reflective.

Paint or stain the post to avoid rot....also improve the looks.

Align your mail box horizontal and vertical axes....some of them, are really in need of this small adjustment (may take a shovel, some gravel or some dry concrete added to the post hole).

 

A bit of resident effort, paint and elbow grease applied in the month of March would do wonders for the neighborhood.
