As members of the Welcoming Committee, Judy Utter and I (Jan Cheslak) have been busy this month. I want to inform you of our many new residents and tell you just a little about them.  (If I have made any mistakes, please let me know).  Please say “hi” whenever you see them and introduce yourselves.

 

Garrett and Kate Sterling

Garrett and Kate moved here from Maryland.  They have no children, but two pets….Lily a 6-year-old Golden Retriever and Beau the cat.  Kate works as a nurse for Beaufort Memorial Hospital and Garrett is assistant superintendent at Secession Golf Club.  Most of their spare time is involved with remodeling their new home.

 

Jay and Beth Geistkemper

Jay and Beth moved here from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (Jay hasn’t officially employed here yet).  Jay is an endodontist who will be employed at Parris Island.  Beth is in the process of looking for a job as a physician’s assistant.  They have two boys, Killian (6 yrs) and Finn (3 yrs).  Their third “child” is a shih tzu named Kona who is now 8 years old. 

 

Josh and Jackie Pieczonka

Josh and Jackie moved here from Washington DC where Josh worked at the Pentagon.  Josh is an aviator in the Marine Corps and Jackie works at home.  They have four children:  Jillian (age 12) Jenevieve (10), Juliet (6) and James “Brady” (3).  They also have an 11-month-old Bernedoodle (a cross between a Bernese Mountain dog and a Poodle).  Right now they are busy setting up house and landscaping their new yard.

Unfortunately, I could not get in touch with them via note or phone calls to actually welcome them in person.  The information I have is passed on by a neighbor. 

Mick and Gillian moved here from Pennsylvania.  They have two children Joey and Selena.  Their pets include two large dogs. I understand Mick works for Zurich Insurance.  They enjoy boating.

 

There are two additional families who have recently moved in to WG whom Jan Grimsley has tried to reach for me with no luck so far.  We will continue to try reaching them and add them to next August’s new resident info.
